The experimental studies on strongyloidiasis are focused in immunosuppressed rodents because they can provide alterations in the parasite length, fecundity and the mechanisms responsible for worm expulsion from host's intestine. In this line, variations in morphological and biological characteristics of the parasite during the developpment process in the AKR/J strain of mice are being reported.
