Árvores Nativas do Brasil
Esta página é dedicada ao estudo e identificação de árvores
nativas do Brasil, especialmente região sudeste, compreendendo mata atlântica e cerrado.
Eu moro em Ipatinga, MG, 48 anos, casado, e trabalho em manutenção elétrica em fabrica
de celulose. Apesar de não ser profissional do assunto árvores, tenho por hobby estudar
este tema. Conto com auxílio de literatura especializada, veja link da Editora Plantarum,
o melhor livro brasileiro sobre este tema: Seu nome é "Árvores Brasileiras", e
seu autor é Harri Lorenzi.
As fotos e desenhos desta home page são quase todas de minha autoria. As árvores estão
subdivididas em dois grupos: as que estão identificadas e aquelas que ainda estou
observando e não consegui identificação positiva. Na página de árvores em floração no mês, mostro aquelas que estão se
destacando a cada mês na região leste de Minas Gerais.
Como já disse, sou amador e portanto pode haver alguma incorreção nas minhas
identificações. Neste caso fico grato se me corrigirem.
Espero que se divirtam vendo a diversidade de árvores de nossa região, e, se possível,
me auxiliem na identificação de alguma delas. Estou à disposição para conversar sobre
o assunto, e ansioso por conhecer outras pessoas que compartilhem este gosto por árvores.

Brazil's Native Trees
This page is dedicated to the study and identification of
Brazil's native trees, especialy in the Southwest Region, includind the Atlantic rain
forest and the cerrado vegetation.
I live in Ipatinga, MG, Brazil, I'm 48 years old, married,and I work in eletric
maintenance in a pulp plant. Despite not being a professional in this subject (trees), I
like this matter as a hobby.
I've had good help in books about this theme's. Please see in the link "Editora
Plantarum" the best brazilian book about this matter: Its name is "Brazilian
Trees", and its author is Harry Lorenzi.
This home page's pictures and drawings are mines, in majority. The trees are separated
in two groups: the first are the identified trees, and the second are those that I'm still
studing but I can't identify them yet. In the page "Flowering
trees in this month" I show these that are detaching each month, in the east of
Minas Gerais.
As I said, I'm just an amateur, and it's possible to make mistakes in these pages. In this
case, I'll be glad if you correct me.
I hope you'll enjoy seeing the diversity of our region's trees, and, if possible, give me
your help to identify same of them. I'm at your disposal to talk about this matter, and
waiting for other people who share the desire for trees.
